Thanks...
The success of Terra Madre surpassed everyone’s greatest expectations.
The proof is printed in newspapers and journals around the world, and in testimonies and thank you notes from participants that continue to arrive to the Terra Madre Coordinators from all the countries involved.
The event fulfilled all of its principal goals: it allowed representatives of various food communities to meet and discuss the issues most important to them, and brought awareness of the plethora of food producers working around the globe with the same objectives of safeguarding biodiversity.
Terra Madre was also a unique opportunity to turn the international public’s attention to the gravity and variety of factors on which the future of agriculture and sustainable food production will be built.

Terra Madre would not have been possible without the strong support of the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Piedmont Region and the Commune of Turin.
The meeting was also sponsored by Coldiretti Piedmont, the CRT Foundation, New Holland, the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta and the Headquarters for Cooperative Programs for Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A special thanks goes to the 500 volunteers and host families that made participants feel right at home.
We would also like to note the huge contribution of the Italian Foreign Ministry, which expedited the visa process for the Terra Madre participants.

Of course, our biggest thanks goes to the 5000 delegates who brought life to the conference in Turin: without their enthusiasm, patience and the strength of the projects and initiatives they came to Turin to represent, Terra Madre would have remained a dream.
Thank you and see you soon!
